Retail Interns gain experience in operational, compliance and risk components of Retail Banking, and are exposed to multiple branch locations and Line of Business activities

Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions as well as other high-value branch activities
Proactively works to identify and resolve client servicing issues, escalating as needed
Listens for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations, and then appropriately transition the client(s) to a Banker
Assists clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives through the use of financial wellness tools
Participates in morning huddles and end of day debriefs
Shadows branch platform teammates and line of business partners in client appointments and business calling activities
Follows compliance, audit and security procedures, balances cash drawer within balancing guidelines
Reviews and maintain knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies to stay current on offerings
Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice

The Key-bank Retail Internship program is a 12-week foundational training curriculum designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in Retail Banking. The program enables individuals to gain a holistic view of the Retail branch network while working as a Branch Teller and Financial Wellness Associate. Retail Interns gain experience in operational, compliance and risk components of Retail Banking, and are exposed to multiple branch locations and Line of Business activities. Retail Interns learn how to work as a team, refine and build client experience and relationship building skills, understand core banking principles, develop interpersonal skills and participate in delivering financial wellness to Key's clients. Post-college graduation, high-performing interns will have an opportunity to be considered for a full-time Personal Banker, Financial Wellness Consultant or Private Client Banking Associate position – as well as admission to Key’s Leadership Excellence Acceleration Program.
